The Not Grass Sunset, New Britain Reservoir, Southington, Connecticut. September 11, 2019, 7:03 PM. The ground here is underwater around 10 months every year. By September the reservoir usually gets low enough to see this bright green ground cover that sprouts all these tiny yellow flowers that month while they are on dry(ish) land. Since I have no imagination and these plants resemble grass when seen from a distance, I call the stuff notgrass.
